Take a whirl in the Highlands with Hidden Glen Safaris. Rent a bike and pedal up Cycle Route 7 – and stop by Rob Roy’s grave, up the road. Fly in by sea plane, land on Loch Voil and pop in to Monachyle for lunch.
Forage for fun, fungi or fauna, and visit our neighbouring venison shop, or just play a round of boules on our lawn.
There’s game and deer-stalking, too, and plenty of fishing. We offer guests beats on Loch Voil, Doine, the River Forth and the River Teith, we can arrange a private ghillie to take you out, if you like. You might catch Arctic char, rainbow or brown trout, eel and salmon. For further afield, permits can be arranged.

The fishing season has just opened. We offer complimentary fishing permits for our guests staying at Monachyle Mhor Hotel and or our sister motel, Mhor 84. Our permit covers, Loch Voil, Loch Doine, the River Teith and the River Forth in Stirling. For non-residents, you can purchase a day permit at reception for £5.
